What we collect

Only what you give us: your name, email, story, correction, or family clue if you choose to submit one. The core surname search runs against the site database.

We may collect basic anonymous analytics, such as pages viewed or searches run, to improve the archive. These are not intended to identify you.

What we do with it

Your information is used to run the archive, review corrections, respond to submissions, and improve the site. We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. Ever.

Live source research

If live research is enabled and you click "Search live sources," your query and limited local match context may be sent to the WhySoSindhi backend and configured AI provider for research assistance.

Do not enter sensitive personal information, private family disputes, addresses, phone numbers, financial information, or information about living people without consent.

Who else sees it

The site is hosted on Vercel, so standard hosting logs may pass through their systems. If email or forms are connected later, those providers will handle that data under their own privacy terms.

We share your information with no one else unless required by law or needed to operate the site.

Submissions

Anything you submit as a story, correction, or family clue may be published as part of the archive. Do not send anything you would not want shared.
