Everything on WhySoSindhi is compiled from publicly available online sources, published historical records, and community knowledge, including works such as History of Hindus in Sind, the Gazetteer of the Province of Sind, and contemporary scholarship on Sindhi lineages.

None of it is my own personal or private information about any individual or family.

Names get complicated

Historical records contradict each other, names cross communities, and oral histories vary from family to family. Entries may be incomplete, simplified, or wrong.

We label confidence honestly and mark uncertain leads as leads, but nothing here should be treated as final authority on your family, caste, nukh, tribe, religion, or history.

This site is not intended to defame, demean, rank, stereotype, or spread rumours about any person, family, or community. It carries no claim about the present-day status, beliefs, or character of anyone bearing a surname listed here.
